Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Dodo Media LLC, a California limited liability company, which operates GLP-1 Friends. Formal notices go to 6770 Stanford Ranch Rd. #1006, Roseville, CA 95678. By creating an account or using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site.

GLP-1 Friends is for adults. You must be 18 or older, wherever you live — the age is the same in every country. You need a working email address, and one account per person.

• Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. What happens under your account is treated as done by you.
• Do not create a second account to get around a mute or a ban, and do not impersonate another member, a clinician, or a company.
• Do not use automated tools to scrape, bulk-download, or re-publish other members’ content. The site being publicly readable is not permission to harvest it.
• You can close your account at any time in Settings. What that does and does not delete is spelled out in the privacy policy, and it is worth reading before you do it.

The community guidelines are part of these terms. The short version: this is a judgment-free space; share experience, not medical advice; no diet-culture shaming; never expose another member’s identity or health details; and no buying, selling, or sourcing medications.

The last one is enforced automatically as well as by people. New posts and replies are screened before they publish, and anything matching a sourcing or selling pattern is held for a moderator instead of going live. Offers, requests, vendor links and “DM me” workarounds are all covered. Posts that hand out dosing instructions, or tell someone to go around their prescriber, are removed — see the medical disclaimer for why we are strict about this one.

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting it you give us permission to store it and display it on the site, including to people who are not signed in, which is simply what publishing on a public community means.

If you close your account, your posts and replies stay up, attributed to a deleted member rather than to your name. Removing them would break conversations other people are part of. Delete anything you do not want left behind before you close the account.

Moderators may hold a post for review, remove it, warn you, mute your account for a period, or — for the most serious cases — ban the account. When a moderator acts on your content you are notified in-app of what happened. Held and removed content stays visible to you and to moderators, and anything of yours waiting on review is listed at Waiting for review.

We do not promise to review everything, or to review anything within any particular time. A post that is still up has not been approved; it has only not been removed.

If your content is removed, or you are muted or banned, you can appeal by emailing contact@glp1friends.com. Say what was removed and why you think it was wrong. We will look again and reply. We do not promise to change the decision, and we do not promise a deadline — this is a small community, not a support desk — but an appeal reaches a person, not a form.

GLP-1 Friends is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, that it will keep working the way it does today, or that anything a member posts is accurate, safe, or right for you. We do not check members’ claims about their medications, their results, or their credentials.

Nothing here is medical advice. The medical disclaimer is part of these terms, and it is the page to read before you act on anything you find here.

Direct messages, meet-ups, group chats elsewhere, anything you arrange with another member — we are not part of it and we do not vet anyone. Be as careful as you would be with any stranger online. If someone asks you for money, offers to sell you medication, or pushes you off-site, report them and do not engage.

We supply the platform. Members supply the content. Posts, comments, messages, photos and polls on GLP-1 Friends are written by members, not by us. We do not write them, we do not check them, and we do not endorse them. We are not responsible for anything a member says here, and a post staying up is not us agreeing with it — it only means we have not taken it down.

Use this site at your own risk. GLP-1 Friends is provided as is and as available, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, and we do not promise that anything on it is accurate, complete or current.

Nothing here is medical advice. This is peer support — people describing what happened to them. It is not a substitute for your doctor, your pharmacist or your prescriber, and acting on it is your decision and your risk. Please read the medical disclaimer; of everything on this page, it is the part that actually matters.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dodo Media LLC is not liable to you for anything arising out of your use of GLP-1 Friends. That includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary and punitive damages; lost data, lost profits and lost goodwill; anything another member does or posts; any interruption, outage or loss of content; and any decision you make about your health, your medication or your care because of something you read here. This applies whether the claim is brought in contract, in tort, under a statute, or on any other basis, and whether or not we were told such damages were possible. If some liability cannot be excluded, it is limited in total to one hundred US dollars or the amount you have paid us — whichever is greater. You have paid us nothing; GLP-1 Friends is free.

You can close your account whenever you want. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines, or that puts other members at risk. The sections about content that stays up, and about liability, survive either way.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Placer County, California, and by using the site you agree that those courts may hear it.

We will update these terms as the site grows, starting with the gaps above. Material changes will be announced rather than slipped in, and the “last updated” date at the top will move.
